Program Title: BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ARCHITECTURE (BS ARCH)

Program Description: The degree program focuses mainly on the extensive knowledge, appropriate skills, and professional mindset ofthe graduates in the field and practice of architecture relevant to the present and future challenges and global trends.

Mission Statemen as Program: The College of Architecture entrust itself to:

1. Provide the latest and best architectural programs and education that are inclined to provide students with greater opportunities for employment.
2. Create an ambience that will foster creative design innovations, critical thinking, professional responsibility, and social awareness.
3. Undertake research activities on the current architecture, construction, technology and emerging fields of learning.
4. Give future architects a solid foundation not only in architecture but also in humanities, ethics, languages, and human relations. 
Program Objectives: The objectives of the BS Architecture program are to develop the following outcomes:

1. Perform standard competencies in accordance with the scope of the global and local practice of architecture.
2. Show traits of professionalism, sense of responsibility, equality and patriotism.
3. Receptiveness to new ideas and knowledge through scientific research and investigation.
4. Direct and focus the thrust of architectural education on the needs and demands of society and its integration into the social, economic, cultural, and environmental aspects of nation building.
5. Instill an undertanding of the basic philosophy and fundamental principles of the multi-dimensional aspects of architecture and the direct relationship between man and his environment.

General Outcomes:
1. Keep abreast with the development in the field of architecture practice.
2. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing using both English & Filipino.
3. Ability to work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
4. A recognition of professional, social and ethical responsibility.

Specific Outcomes:
1. Creation of architectural solutions by applying knowledge in history, theory, planning, building technology and utilities, structural concepts and professional practice.
2. Use concept and principles from specialized field and allied disciplines into various architectural problems.
3. Preparation of contract documents, technical reports and other legal documents used in architectural parctice adhering to applicable laws, standards and regulations.
4. Interpretation and application of relevant laws, codes, charters and standards of architecture and the built environment.
5. Application of research methods to addresss architectural problems.
6. Use of various informations and communication technology (ICT) media for architectural solutions, presentation and techniques in design and construction.
7. Acquisition of entrepreneurial and business acumen relevant to architecture practice.
8. Involvement in the management of the construction works and building administration.

Curriculum Description: The BS Architecture Program has a total of credit 221 units including PE & NSTP subjects. The program comprises of Technical Courses (Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Basic Engineering Courses , Allied Courses & Professional Courses), Non-Techncal (Gebneral Education) and Non-Academic Courses.
